There are many steps you can take to keep your heart healthy.

  1. Try to be more physically active.
  2. If you smoke, quit.
  3. Follow a heart-healthy diet.
  4. Keep a healthy weight.
  5. Keep your diabetes, high blood pressure, and/or high cholesterol under control.
  6. Don’t drink a lot of alcohol.
  7. Manage stress.
